Peak View - Own 100% of your own home for less! - June 26th
Own 100% of your own home for less!
Peveril Homes has adopted the Government 'ownhome' scheme to help buyers onto the property ladder.
There are a lot of cliches about buying your first home, but one that holds true is that it is harder than ever before for most young people to get their first foot on the ladder. With this in mind Midlands-based house builder, Peveril Homes has introduced an innovative new scheme at its Peak View development in Belper called 'HomeBuy'.
The initiative, which takes its lead from the Government backed scheme to help bridge the gap between house prices and salaries, is aimed at widening home ownership and increasing housing affordability.
"For first time buyers this could be the lifeline they have been looking for," says Angela Thomas, Sales and Marketing Manager at Peveril Homes.
"First time buyers are often more than pleasantly surprised when they come to Peveril Homes as we can offer all kinds of help for people trying to get a foot on the property ladder. By adding the 'Homebuy' scheme to our easy moving tools we are providing a stepping-stone" to assist buyers into full home ownership!"
Cash-strapped first time buyers are now eligible under the new scheme which came into force on the 1st April 2008 and is also aimed at key workers such as nurses and police officers.
The scheme consists of two parts - a loan and a mortgage. Places for People (one of the UK's largest property management and development groups) lend buyers between 20 and 40 per cent of the value of their new home, and the Co-operative Bank will offer a choice of any of their award-winning mortgages - fixed, tracker or discount - on the remaining 60 to 80 per cent.
There are no payments on the equity loan from Places for People for the first 5 years, no additional premiums or increased rates built into the Co-operative Bank mortgage and buyers will own 100% of their home, so there is no rent or landlord to pay.
Concludes Angela Thomas: "Whatever your circumstances, come and talk to us - you never know what kind of assistance we might be able to provide. You can do that right now by calling Cheryl at Peak View, and who knows, you could soon be moving into your new Peveril home. All of a sudden renting doesn't seem like such a good idea!"
Peveril Homes is currently offering a range of two, three and four-bedroomed homes at its popular Peak View development located off Penn Street in Belper. Prices start from as little as £155,000 for a three-bedroom Buxton townhouse but with the Peveril Homes 'Homebuy' scheme you only pay £93,000!
