Peveril Homes win big at the housing "Oscars" - December 19th
Peveril Homes has been highly commended for Best Partnership with a Client Award or Housebuilder in conjunction with Amber Valley Borough Council at the equivalent of the Oscars for the housing industry. The Midlands-based housebuilder is no stranger to success as it was rewarded in last year's and this year's regional LABC Built in Quality Awards, which catapulted it into the UK's Top Six finalists for this years' LABC National Awards held in London recently. The national awards are the culmination of the year-long programme of awards from the twelve LABC regions. Eleven award categories represent every class of building, across residential, public service commercial, retail and industrial properties.
The Best in Partnership award recognises partnerships between local authorities and housebuilders and celebrates and rewards high quality building projects that deliver partnership, innovation and sustainability.
Peveril Homes' Commercial Director, Colin Wright said: "I'm delighted to have been honoured with this commendation, and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you to my colleagues at Peveril for all their hard work and support. We work very closely with Amber Valley Borough Council, particularly at key stages of the development.
"This is a tangible result of our continual efforts to raise the quality of home construction and is testament to the hard work of all our staff. It is a fantastic achievement."
The national ceremony is the highpoint of the year for the LABC, and includes many entries from a well-established set of regional awards.
The Local Authority Building Control (LABC) is the leading national building control provider service in the UK and each year recognises and rewards the highest quality building practices through its Built in Quality awards scheme.
The awards in London proved to be a resounding success with over 500 people attending a glittering evening from all areas of the Construction Industry and Building Control.
Commenting on the relationship with Peveril Homes, Principle Building Control Officer for Amber Valley Council, David Chard said: "The ongoing partnership with Peveril Homes stems from the great relationship and mutual respect that has been established within the project teams. We look forward to working with the housebuilder for many years to come."
