Peveril wins RoSPA Gold Award for fourth time - June 21st
Peveril Homes has won another prestigious award for their commitment to occupational health and safety.The Belper-based housebuilder has been awarded a Gold Award from RoSPA - The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents, at the Occupational Health and Safety Awards 2009. In total, Peveril has now been awarded Gold five times and for the fourth consecutive year.
The annual ceremony recognises organisations that have excellent health and safety management systems in place, as well as those who reduce the number of accidents and cases of ill-health in the workplace.
RoSPA also noted that these awards are as important as ever, even in the current climate, and that employers must not let their standards of health and safety practice slip in tough times.
The award was presented at a recent ceremony held at the Birmingham Hilton Metropole Hotel, at the National Exhibition Centre. The ceremony took place alongside Safety & Health Expo 2009, Europe's leading annual health and safety exhibition.
